Mitch is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of DIA Studio, a creative agency he established with Meg Donohoe, headquartered in New York City and Chamonix, France. DIA is known for its visual identity systems, which prioritize motion and generative tools, utilizing creative toolkits that replace traditional brand guidelines. Their distinctive approach has led to collaborations with notable clients, including Squarespace, Balenciaga, Pinterest, Nike, Saint Laurent, and Google.

Mitch is actively involved in design education, having taught at institutions such as HEAD – Genève and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He was the first resident professor at the La Becque x ECAL residency and has led over 100 lectures and workshops at universities and conferences worldwide, sharing DIA’s innovative methodology.

Mitch also co-founded Monkey Type alongside Meg, a Chamonix-based type foundry that develops custom and retail fonts for global brands, including Peloton, Diesel, and The New York Times Magazine, in collaboration with designers worldwide.

Beyond design, Mitch is a jazz pianist and composer. He recorded with his group Non-Static in NYC and performed at venues including the 2008 NYC Winter Jazz Festival.

His multidisciplinary background in design, education, type, and music informs a distinct and innovative creative perspective.
