(This masterclass will be taught in Spanish)
Graphic design can be a makeup technique; a beautifying strategy; a shallow watermark. Likewise, graphic design can be a structural value; a conduit of meanings; a stimulating read. Paradoxically, the difference between the two graphic designs is invisible. This masterclass focuses on the importance of the invisible, on the importance of conceptual work.
The session will deal with the essential double translation in any project (from order to concept, from concept to form), will propose criteria to evaluate the adequacy of these transmutations and will expose the insides of some Bendita Gloria projects.
About the studio
Bendita Gloria is a studio formed by Alba Rosell and Santi Fuster. Their work jumps between different areas on a regular basis, although it is in identity and editorial where they have developed their most relevant projects. Alba and Santi have been trying since 2007 to immerse themselves in the morphology, the syntax and above all, the semantics of graphic design.
